It was by any standards a Lodge meeting with a difference. For a start, the ritual of SAUL’s September meeting at the Bushey Country Club adhered to strictly traditional lines coupled with a warm atmosphere of good fellowship displayed towards the guests of the evening who had travelled to the UK from Poland especially to attend the event.

On 30 June 2009, the construction of the Museum of the History of Polish Jewry began in the vicinity of the Warsaw Ghetto Monument. The museum will commemorate the legacy of Jews in Poland, serving for future generations from all over the world as a centre of education and culture and we expect it to become a Warsaw landmark.
