„The Spring Of B’nai B’rith Romania” – Extension In The Summer”.... Written by Iulia Delaneu, journalist....
Tradition and novelty „shook hands” this year at the „B’nai B’rith Romania Spring Tradition. „Going for a Walk in the Country” for the members of B’nai B’rith Romania is a programme that was initiated by the President of the Moses Rosen Forum Lodge in Bucharest, José Iacobescu since he was elected, in cooperation with the Federation of the Jewish Communities in Romania, Joint, The Jewish Community Centre (JCC) in Bucharest. Novelty – friendly competitions on all-round education, the history of the Coral Temple in Bucharest, Jewish-Romanian personalities, a recitation competition, all awarded by prizes.

Great pleasure was brought by the Israeli, Yiddish and Romanian music performed by a choir group from J.C.C. – Bucharest.

Actually „THE SPRING” prolonged into summer by a trip to the „Astoria C.F.R.” complex in Snagov that took place on Sunday at the beginning of July. Although it was pouring on that morning, all the participants, or almost all of them, did not miss the event. When the rain stopped, the walk on the river side was photographed by many and included all the members of the group.

The Manager of J.C.C. in Bucharest, Shai Orny, was given the title of „Friend of B’nai B’rith Romania”, a friend that is knowlegable of the importance of music to create a special atmosphere and good mood.

The President of B’nai B’rith Romania, José Iacobescu, extended his thanks to the organisers and sponsors for their contribution to the success of this event.
