Germany - The Hebraïca Menorah Lodge in Munich PDF Print E-mail

The Hebraïca Lodge (meaning "Hebrew" in German) was established in 1966 by Joseph Domberger, supported by Professor Ludwig Ehrlich. Joseph Domberger also became the first President of this Lodge.

In the 1970s, a Youth Lodge was started in Munich and named "Menorah". In the 1980s, the two Lodges joined, forming the Hebraïca Lodge, which is now a mixed lodge.

The Menorah, the seven-stem candelabra is one of the most important Jewish symbols; it is the emblem of B’nai B’rith.
It represents spiritual light, and used to stand at the entrance of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.
