France - The Sigmund Freud Lodge in Paris PDF Print E-mail

Sigmund Freud Lodge was established in February 2004, by Edwige Elkaïm, who was President of B’nai B’rith France at the time.

The first Lodge President is Judith Cohen-Solal and the Mentor is Roland Green.
The Lodge has around forty members.

Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist (1856 – 1939), who founded psychoanalysis, and claimed that using this technique he could cure hysteria and other neurotic disorders.

Freud published a large body of work, including Three essays on the theory of sexuality (1905), Introductory lectures on Psychoanalysis (1916), Civilisation and its discontents (1930) and Moses and monotheism (1939).
