France - The Tsedek Lodge in Paris PDF Print E-mail

This Lodge was established in 1979.

Etymologically, Tzedek means righteousness, justice and fairness, but can also imply salvation, deliverance or victory and hence Tzedaka or charity. It is also the Hebrew name for the planet Jupiter.

The Hebrew word "Tzedek" is found 199 times in the Bible. A famous example is in Deuteronomy 16/20:
"Tzedek, Tzedek, tirdof…." “Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may leave and possess the Lord your God is giving you".
