France - The Versailles Lodge in Versailles PDF Print E-mail

This Lodge was  established in 1990.

The Charter was signed by President Shaul Oren (also President of the March of the Living) and by Sylvain Tuil, Chairman and Founder of the Versailles Lodge. Its founding President was Sylvain Tuil.

A group of friends in the Community of Versailles, led by the President of the Community, wanted to set up an organisation for Jews outside the synagogue. The Lodge has more than 40 members.

In addition to cultural and leisure activities, the Lodge mainly focuses on solidarity and Israel.
For instance:

"Blankets for Russian Olims" campaign, 10,000 blankets in 2 days.
Twinned with the Robert Gamzon Lodge in Jerusalem
Involved in setting up Centre Raphaël for severely disabled people.
Involved in purchasing an ambulance for the Magen David Adom
EVA campaign (support for children of terrorist victims in Israel).
