Italy again proved in 2006 that it is an actor of the European Day of Jewish Culture that can not be ignored.
43 000 visitors took part in 200 activities which were organised in 55 cities through the country.

The event was announced by a press conference with the participation of the Italian Cultural Minister and numerous press articles were published for the occasion.

This success is the result of a centralised organisation around a national organisation structure, the Unione Comunità Ebraiche Italiane, and an effective promotion thanks to the website http://www.ucei.it/giornatadellacultura and a promotional folder with leaflets, posters, CD-ROM.
