Organised by the Elia Benamozegh Adult Lodge in Rome, a Chanukah dinner was held at the Tempio dei Giovani (Synagogue of the Youth) attended by 60 people on the Tiber Island.

During the event, journalist Fiamma Nirenstein, correspondent in Israel of one of the main Italian newspapers, and who had just returned from the Middle East meeting in Annapolis, gave a general view on the situation in Israel and the Peace Process.

The main guest was Yehuda Meshi Zahav, founder of Zaka, the Israeli humanitarian volunteer organisation that identifies and rescues disaster victims, who explained the activities of this organisation.
