Faithful to its solidarity objectives, B’nai B’rith France in partnership with AUJF (Unified Jewish Appeal) invited a group of young people from Sderot to spend a ten day vacation in France.
The journey, organised by Beit Ham enabled 15 young people together
with their five educators to join members of B’nai B’rith for dinner on
5th July. Jacques Jacubert, President of B’nai B’rith France, Henri
Cohen-Solal President of Beit Ham, Tsvia Walden, the daughter of Shimon
Perez and many friends who came to show their solidarity to the
youngsters attended.
The programme arranged for the group was a visit of Paris, of Euro
Disney and meetings with youth organisations. They also performed a
play at the Town Hall of the 4th District of Paris they had written
about their life in Sderot. The contents of the play included a lot of
emotion but also humour, music and hope. One could also visit an
exhibit of their photo club.
Their dynamics, faith in a better future and joie de vivre encouraged us to pursue this type of action.
