In February, the Romanian B’nai B’rith Lodge organized a very interesting and up-to date conference and debate about the recent events in Gaza and the Israeli elections.
Our guests were Emil Hurezeanu –journalist and political analyst, and
gen. Mihail Ionescu, director of the Romanian Holocaust Institute. They
offered a global picture of the international political scene; spoke
about the last events in the Middle East region and in Israel. The
speakers dealt with the new American politics in the region, the
difficulties to form a new Israeli government after the elections and
the expected long way and obstacles in the path to peace in Middle
East.
The presentation was followed by a debate, and questions, answers and opinions, with audience participation.
