The ‘Round Table’ project is a joint operation of the UK Jewish Leadership Council and the B’nai B’rith London Bureau of International Affairs, with the idea of creating a regular forum for contacts with Senior Diplomats at the FCO to discuss current Middle East problems.
The first of these meetings took place recently in the splendid India
Council Chamber at the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO).
The invitees are drawn from Jewish Community leadership and the plan
provides for the same invitees to meet on a regular basis as a set
group to encourage open, frank and friendly dialogue. Seymour Saideman,
Senior Vice President, BBI, Martin Kudlick, President BBUK and Mark
Marcus, Chairman of the BB London Bureau were present at the meeting.
The first session involved FCO Diplomats from departments dealing with
Iran, the Durban Review Conference and the post Gaza situation and was
viewed a highly successful event by both FCO and the Community leaders
present.
