It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of their dear Brother, Otto Schwalb, founding member of the Concordia Lodge in Košice on July, 26, 2009 after a long and serious illness at the age of 84.

Native from the town of Presov, son of a general practitioner, he was born in a religious Jewish family. He graduated from the Faculty of medicine and became a specialist in stomach surgery.

From the very beginning of the B´nai B´rith Concordia Lodge in Košice he became an active and respected member. His general culture, personal charm and social skills were highly appreciated by all the members up to his last days. We lost an infinitely good, respected and beloved person who bore Jewishness deeply in his heart.

He will remain forever in our minds. May those who knew him take a moment to remember him. We share, with his family, the sorrow for this inestimable loss.
His name will remain inseparable with the glory of our Lodge. May his memory be a blessing.
