American diplomat Paul Bremer III, Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen, Canadian Professor Irwin Cotler, Dutch Minister of Justice Hirsch Baline, former NATO Secretary General De Hoop Scheffer, and others, spoke about Israel and the possibilities for a safe and peaceful Middle East. Foreign Minister Verhagen, acting on behalf of the queen, promoted Manheim as officer of the Order of Oranje Nassau.
