Held at the Sternberg Centre in Finchley, the meeting began with a contemporary look at warfare. President of the Lodge Martin Aaron stunned the audience by playing a recording of Brigadier Kemp's inspiring and supportive address to the United Nations Assembly on Friday 16th October, in which he insisted "there has never been a time in the history of warfare when any army has made more efforts to reduce civilian casualties and the deaths of innocent people than the Israel Defence Forces did in Gaza".

A moving and fascinating video then illustrated the outstanding contribution made by British Jews to the British armed forces over the last three centuries since they had been permitted to join. Henry Morris spoke passionately about the foundation and work of the Jewish Military Museum now located in Hendon, showcasing photographs, histories, artefacts, medals and military memorabilia as well as serving as a centre for research, education and outreach. He was enthusiastic about the planned move by the Museum next year to larger more permanent premises at the Sternberg Centre.
 
In his vote of thanks, the Lodge Monitor Richard Savinson recalled his years as a National Service Captain. The full house included the present Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary of B'nai B'rith UK, the President of the Yad B'Yad Lodge as well as visitors from other lodges.
