France - The Moshe Dayan Lodge in Nice

This Lodge was established in 1982.

It is a mixed Lodge with around 70 members.

It is named after the famous Israeli General Moshe Dayan, who led the liberation of Jerusalem during the "Six-Day war".

Moshe Dayan was born in 1915 in Deganya, on the south bank of Lake Tiberias.
He was a leading figure in modern Israel, as a military and political leader.

He was Tzahal Chief of Staff from 1953 to 1958, Defence Minister in 1967 and 1969-1974 and Foreign Minister from 1977-1979.

He died in Ramat-Gan in 1981.
