The Young Adults Commission of B'nai B'rith Europe welcomes Edwige Ouaknine

Edwige Ouaknine from Paris joined the commission at the beginning of June 2012

She has been a devoted and active member of B'nai B'rith for many years. She joined the local chapter in Nice (Léon AshkénaziL Manitou Lodge) in 1996 and since then has been active in many areas (cultural, social and political).
In 2007 she was elected President of the L.A. Manitou lodge in Nice and served as such for two years.
In June 2010, Edwige was chosen out of a number of French candidates to represent France at the Diplomatic Seminar for Young Jewish Leaders, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.
In 2010 Edwige was one of the Co-Chairs of the Organizing Committee for the Young Jewish Adults Forum in Zurich. In the same year she was appointed to serve as president of the Youth Coordination Body of B'nai B'rith France.
We are sure she will bring more power, energy and a breath of fresh air into our Commission.
