Gathering of B'nai B'rith Europe in Berlin

Reflecting on the future of Jewish Communities in Europe

21 January 2018 Berlin

President of B'nai B'rith Europe Serge Dahan and B'nai B'rith German Lodges, organise a meeting and discussion with the european representatives of B'nai B'rith, the local Jewish community, German political figures, European experts and journalists to address the future of Jewish life in Europe.

Since 2012, at least 14 people have been killed in antisemitic attacks all over Europe. Even though Jews make up less than 1% of the population in France, 30% of all hate crimes recorded in 2017 were antisemitic (source Licra).
The EU Fundamental Rights Agency the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) launched the biggest survey ever done in Europe on the perceptions and experiences of Jewish communities with Antisemitism in May 2018. The data will enable the European Union and national governments to develop its policies on combating antisemitism in the future.

To what extent does this influence the way EU states lead the fight against antisemitism? What else should be done in order to face the rise of antisemitism? Is there a future for Jews in Europe?
Join us and our speakers to address these and other concerns on the future of Jewish life in Europe.
