The fourth BBE Talks conference took place on the 26th of November. The conference was held around the powerful story of a holocaust survivor and her book based on it. President Serge Dahan initiated the conference giving a few words about B’nai B’rith Europe. The President of Henry Dunant Lodge, Joel Goldstein, then presented a bit about the Jewish community in Geneva, as well as the Lodge’s activities. This was followed by a short description of Lausanne’s Jewish community and its Lodge, Edmond Fleg, description offered by the President of the Lodge, David Jegger. The key note speaker of the conference, Ms. Paulette Angel-Rosenberg, shared her incredible Holocaust survivor story, also referring to her book written to preserve the memory of those terrifying times, so that younger generations would never be forced to live something like that ever again. Ms. Rosenberg’s granddaughter and daughter were also present throughout the entire conference, comforting Paulette and translating her thoughts to all the non-French speaking participants. Conclusions on the fourth BBE Talks conference were brought by the President of B’nai B’rith Europe, Serge Dahan.
