B’nai B’rith International remembers the 23rd anniversary of the Israeli Embassy bombing in Buenos Aires. The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber who drove a truck loaded with explosives into the corner of the embassy on the afternoon of March 17, 1992. The terrorist detonated the bombs and killed 29 people, injured 242 and also destroyed a church and a school.

(Washington, D.C., March 13, 2015)—B'nai B'rith International sent its annual leadership delegation to Geneva to advocate on urgent issues facing the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), including the body's just deferred "Commission of Inquiry" report on the Israel's conflict with Hamas during the summer of 2014, the continuing abuse of the Jewish state more generally at the council, Iran's destructive domestic and regional policies, and the widespread unrest in the Middle East.

Jerusalem was hit by a suspected vehicular terror attack Friday morning, local reports and paramedics said. According to initial reports, a Palestinian man from East Jerusalem rammed his car into a light rail train station after plowing into a group of female officers in northern Jerusalem, wounding five officers and an Israeli.

B'nai B'rith Europe sends their condolences to the victims and families of the victims of the terror attack this Friday morning in Jerusalem. BBE abhors such violence and terror innocent civilians. BBE stands besides Israel during this difficult moment.

Jerusalem's Mayor responded to the attack, saying: "We will not let terror disrupt our daily lives and we will continue to fight it without compromise. I would like to commend the security personnel, the municipal guards, the police and alert citizens who quickly brought the event to an end and prevented further injuries. "Our response to terror is to continue on with our routine, and as such all Purim events in the capital will continue as planned and the security throughout the entire city will be increased, including the main event to be held at Safra Square in a closed and secure location. I invite all the residents of the country to celebrate Purim in Jerusalem and strengthen us."

The President of the Delegation for Relations with Israel at the European Parliament, Mr Fulvio Martusciello, wished, after the terrorist attacks in Paris and Copenhagen, to invite Bnai B'rith France, AJC Global Jewish Advocacy and the European Union of Jewish Students to a delegation meeting on February 26, 2015 in Brussels.

The hearing before the Delegation for Relations with Israel aimed to convey to the delegates, the position of the various Jewish communities in Europe in the wake of this new wave of anti-Semitism.

Visit to BB Lodge Nahmanides, Barcelona 18-19 February, 2015

Dr. Simon Emergui, the President of the Lodge Nahmanides, Barcelona, invited me to participate in two important events that the Lodge has been organizing for some time. Although the lodge has only 20 members, the visibility and success achieved by the BB lodge in Barcelona, is amazing.

In the Jewish community house next to the synagogue celebrated a young girl her Bat mitzvah (confirmation) with around 80 guests. One of the parishioners who had voluntarily signed up to serve as a guard that night, Dan Uzan. Early on Sunday, he and two police officers shot by a terrorist when they stood at the entrance.
