On the 8th and 9th of November 2021, the European Jewish Association, led by Rabbi Menachem Margolin and its partners, including the Consistoire Central de France, the Forum de Belgique, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, B’nai B’rith Europe (represented by its Secretary General, Valérie Achache) accompanied a delegation to Auschwitz of approximately 160 parliamentarians, marking the 83rd anniversary of Kristallnacht.

This solemn visit was marked by the Kaddish prayer pronounced by Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs (Netherlands) and the lighting of the candles by Igor Zorcic, President of the National Assembly of Slovenia and Stefanie Hubig, Minister of Education of Rhineland Palatinate, Germany.

This visit, a moment of meditation, was preceded the day before by a symposium in Krakow, on the themes of education and the means of fighting against antisemitism. Several presidents of chambers of representatives, representatives of European ministries of education, the Youtube director of public policy for Europe, amongst others, participated.
