On the 1st of February 2021, at 16:00 CET, in marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day – 76 years since the liberation of Auschwitz, The office of EU Affairs of B’nai B’rith International organized a commemorative ceremony, followed by two panel discussions.

Special messages were given by the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen, UNESCO Director-General, Audrey Azoulay, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić, Chair of the IHRA, Michaela Küchler and Director of OSCE/ODIHR, Matteo Mecacci.

In a world with fewer and fewer survivors, and following a year that has challenged our understanding of connectedness, the event focused on innovation and cooperation as two key motors for remembrance.
