B'nai B'rith's delegate to UNESCO, Witold Zyss, has sent us regular reports of the discussions and resolutions emanating from the session of the General Conference of UNESCO held in Paris from 25 October to 10 November 2011. A major issue for Israel and its supporters has been the Palestinian application for membership of UNESCO.

AHARON LESHNO-YAAR (Israel), speaking as a concerned country, said Israel would focus particularly on investigations, legal proceedings, and lessons learned in relation to the actions of the Israeli Defense Forces in Gaza from 27 December 2008 through 18 January 2009. Israel had published two papers on the topic.
