On the 24th of April, the Budapest Lodge took part in the March of the Living Budapest, which is the biggest March against antisemitism in Hungary. B’nai B’rith Budapest takes part in this march on a yearly basis.

The start-stage was on the Pest side by the river Danube, in front of a new statue (statue of rescuers) and they have marched to Margaret Island, where the swimming arena is named after the first Hungarian Jewish Olympic champion, Alfréd Hajós.

Thousands of people were marching in the name of remembrance and tolerance. On the main stage there were artistic productions, as well as speeches from the president of March of the Living Hungary, from His Excellency, the Ambassador of the State of Israel and a video message from the Director of Yad Vashem museum, in Jerusalem, Israel.
