The 175 years of B’nai B’rith were celebrated in Marseille by B’nai B’rith Europe and B’nai B’rith France on November 25th 2018, in the presence of Serge Dahan, President of B’nai B’rith Europe, Philippe Meyer, President of B’nai B’rith France, Tomas Tesser, President of Concordia Lodge in Kosice Slovakia, his spouse Yana, Roman Gajdos Vice President of the Concordia Lodge. 

This evening was initiated by Francine Coen, President of the Emile Zola Lodge following her participation in the BBE gathering in Carpates in June 2018. 

Since 2013, Emile Zola Lodge has been twinned with the Concordia Lodge in Kosice. Prestigious guests included Anita Mazor Minister of the Israeli embassy in charge of south of France e and representatives from B’nai B’rith Europe and B’nai B’rith France: André Ouazana, treasurer of B’nai B’rith Europe, Madeleine Médioni President of the Lodge Harmonie in Marseille, Serge Coen President of Yad Vashem South of France, Colette Arfi and Gisèle Taubert , Presidents of Lodges in Paris, Michel Cohen Tenoudji, President of the Consistoire of Marseille, Bernard Bitan, Thierry Hochberg, Thierry Melki, Bernard Zimbris, Raphael Elmaleh presidents and representatives of South of France Lodges among many members of B’nai B’rith. 

The event was highlighted by the academic Renée Drai Bensousan’s high quality conference “First World War, a split in our world”. The organizers thank the Kessel Lodge and its President, Professor Jocelyne Arditti who contributed to the success of this event.
